ABOUT ME

I’m Andrew Steven Brown, musician, producer, audio engineer, and visual designer.

I have over 15 years of experience with independently writing, recording, and mixing heavy music, specifically old school death and black metal that is soaked in atmosphere. Currently, I am the sole member of a few bands: The Mosaic Window (melodic black metal), Bone Abduction (prehistoric death metal), Croaked (old school death metal), and Nom de Guerre (atmospheric black metal). I have also worked with non-metal projects like Vmphibivan (ambient/downtempo) and Subduction (shoegaze).

I have a strong appreciation for rawness and slight imperfections in music, allowing the human touch to shine through. While I deeply love the straightforward approach in heavy music, I value out-of-the-box ideas and am increasingly interested in working with bands who embrace experimentation.

Ultimately, my goal is to help underground bands achieve the sound and vision they are looking for. I am happy to assist beyond mixing/mastering as well, with anything from songwriting and recording advice to drawing band logos and creating album art. Whether we work on a single, an EP, or a full-length album, my attention and focus is locked in to YOUR vision, and we WILL get there.

I consider it an honor to be invited into another musician’s creative world. Every project is approached with care, intention, and a commitment to presenting the music as honestly and powerfully as possible.
